We have seven operating copper mines in North America –, Bagdad, Miami, Morenci, Sierrita and Safford in Arizona, and Chino and Tyrone in New Mexico. Our North America copper mines include open-pit mining, sulfide ore concentrating, leaching and solution extraction/electrowinning (SX/EW) operations. The majority of the copper produced at our North America copper mines is cast into copper rod by our rod and refining operations, which consist of copper conversion facilities including a smelter, refinery, rod mills and a specialty copper products facility. FCX is the world's largest producer of molybdenum and molybdenum-based chemicals. We have two operating molybdenum mines in North America, both located in Colorado.
