Turnover
In 2011, Freeport-McMoRan experienced a total employee turnover rate of 9 percent.  Our operations in South America, Europe, North America, Africa and Indonesia had turnover rates of 13 percent, 13 percent, 12 percent, 6 percent and 6 percent, respectively.  Male employees represented 85 percent of turnover (males comprise 91 percent of our employee) and approximately 54 percent of turnover was represented by employees 30 to 50 years of age (the 30 to 50 year old age group comprise 66 percent of our employee workforce).
