Our Africa mining operations consist of the Tenke Fungurume copper and cobalt minerals district in the Katanga province of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). FCX continues to engage in drilling activities, exploration analyses and metallurgical testing to evaluate the potential of the highly prospective Tenke Fungurume minerals district.

Tenke Fungurume Mining S.A.R.L. (TFM) operates the Tenke Fungurume mine and is entitled to mine in the DRC under an Amended and Restated Mining Convention with the Government of the DRC.
