September 29, 2020 - Planning to get a flu shot? With Flu season around the corner, getting the vaccine as early as possible is more important than ever to help #FightFlu and avoid overloading a health-care system already struggling with a global pandemic. At Freeport-McMoRan, we are urging our employees and their families to get their flu vaccine early as possible. Each year, an estimated 35,000 people die and 500,000 are hospitalized due to the flu. Flu vaccines are widely available throughout the U.S., with shots at grocery stores, retail pharmacies and clinics covered at 100 percent for most medical plans.
